When a supposed vacation to Rotterdam turns into a permanent relocation, Argentinean pre-teen Jonathan finds himself stuck in a place he detests. Expected to assimilate in Dutch culture, he instead befriends his classmate Hasin, a Syrian refugee. Together they spend their days ditching school and finding ways to escape the rainy city.

Jaime Levinas is an Argentine-Dutch film director based in Rotterdam and New York. He studied film at Brooklyn College’s MFA program, Luca School of Arts in Brussels and Fundacion Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires.
​
His films Midnight Coffee (2020) and PINPIN (2021) have been selected for numerous festivals, including IFFR, Clermont-Ferrand, BAFICI, and others. Currently, Jaime is developing his debut feature, Peperklips, with the support from the Netherlands Film Fund.
